The only thing that gets me through a trip to the grocery store is snacks — lots and lots of snacks, to distract my daughter while Mommy decides which cereal has the most fiber and which yogurt is the better deal. But I’ve dropped her little bowl of Cheerios or peach puffs too many times to count, and she always does the same if I leave it for her to hold (cleanup on aisle 7!). Now there’s a product that lets her safely snack on her own and leaves my hands free to fill the cart. It’s called the OnTray ($6.99) and it was designed by a mom who was as tired of spills as I was. It’s a simple square plastic container that attaches onto any grocery cart handle, and it works like a charm.

I took my 9-month old to Costco the other day, snapped on the OnTray and got all my shopping done without any whining or spillage! Bailey liked it, too, since she could feed herself and not have to depend on me. It also came in handy for free samples, which I could just drop into the OnTray for her! It includes a lid, so you can fill it up before leaving the house and just slide it off when you’re ready.

OnTray Goes Hollywood!

While cleaning out my office the other day, I came across a letter from Hollywood Director, Jason Reitman (Juno).  He received an OnTray in his 2008 Oscar Nominee Goodie Bag and was kind enough to write to me and tell me what he thought of OnTray. How cool is that?  I hope he is still enjoying his OnTray!

OnTray + Chalkboard + Dry Erase...Oh My!

I am amazed and grateful to all of our OnTray retailers out there, but every once and a while I am extra amazed by them. One Etsy retailer in particular, Lily Bella Boutique. They have taken our "Plain Jane" OnTray (that I think is great by itself) and turned it into an even better product. One version has a dry erase board on the front lid, and another version has chalkboard. Um, why didn't I think of that?!? Head on over and take a look. Heck, by one, two or three while you're there. OnTray vs. The Plastic Baggie

I was wondering today, "How many plastic bags do Americans waste in a year?". So, I Googled it. the answer blew me away. According to WikiAnswers.com, Americans throw away 38 billion plastic bags a year! Is that astounding or what? When I created OnTray, I was on a mission to solve my problem. Throughout the process, however, I've learned that OnTray doesn't just solve one problem; it solves quite a few. OnTray is 100% recyclable, contributing to less waste when you decide you're through using it. OnTray is dishwasher safe and BPA free, therefor, you can continue to use it unlike a plastic bag. It also cuts back on how many bags are thrown away. Okay, so maybe OnTray won't solve the issue of American landfills filling up with plastic baggies, but I'd like to think maybe it makes a small dent!
