I was wondering today, "How many plastic bags do Americans waste in a year?". So, I Googled it. the answer blew me away. According to WikiAnswers.com, Americans throw away 38 billion plastic bags a year! Is that astounding or what? When I created OnTray, I was on a mission to solve my problem. Throughout the process, however, I've learned that OnTray doesn't just solve one problem; it solves quite a few. OnTray is 100% recyclable, contributing to less waste when you decide you're through using it. OnTray is dishwasher safe and BPA free, therefor, you can continue to use it unlike a plastic bag. It also cuts back on how many bags are thrown away. Okay, so maybe OnTray won't solve the issue of American landfills filling up with plastic baggies, but I'd like to think maybe it makes a small dent!

My First Guest Blog Post
A friend of mine runs this great site for mom's in business called MarketMommies.com, and she has been asking me for quite sometime now to write a guest blog post. I kept telling her I would and then I'd put it off and eventually forget. Mind you, she asked me like 5 times! Well, the other day she asked and I just sat down and starting writing. I wasn't sure it was worthy to share space with some of the other guest bloggers, but Toni put it up anyway. Check it out and let me know what you think!

OnTray & Parents Magazine!
OnTray, me and my three boys are on page 110 of the May issue of Parents magazine. This has been a long time coming. You see, this was one of my first interviews I had ever done. The editor and I spoke in May of 2008.! Two years it took for this article to make it to print. I'm excited and just in awe at the response I have been receiving since it hit newsstands and subscribers hands! Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

1 in 4, Really?
Okay, this made me super sad. It was reported on NBC4 tonight that 1 in 4 people in Columbus, Ohio are hungry. What? How is that possible? There's five people in my family and tonight at the dinner table I looked around and thought that's just not right. No one should be hungry. The story went on to interview a Director of a Foodbank outside of the Columbus are and she said that what they're seeing is people who used to donate are now needing assistance themselves. We can never say never and we can't sweep this under the rug. If you click on the Mid-Ohio Foodbank icon, it'll take you to there Campaign to Sustain page. You can text a $5 donation that will be added to your phone bill. I just did. Won't you consider doing the same?
